Many of the reviews commented that a larger size than usual was needed for comfort or a 'casual' look, so I ordered Large instead of my normal Medium. I am going to trade for a Medium. Because of the cut the Large just looks sloppy on me. I am 5'7" and 145 lbs. with fairly broad shoulders and should still have plenty of room one size down.Fabric is ok - kind of a crinkly cotton - and there were no defects in this one. Hope the replacement holds up.The fabric of the one received looked pre-washed and a bit faded. I think it won’t stay its original color after washing, it fades out. The pockets were rumpled too and won’t lie flat around midsection without ironing first. The dress is one size too small if you assume typical US sizes.I get the navy blue color and it’s lovely. I would have liked it to have been softer but I haven’t washed it yet so maybe after… you never know. The material is nice, soft and pleasing style but be warned the larger sizes fits much much smaller than expected.Fabric is a little stiff and will probably change with washing but I still love the bold check color. Received many compliments when wearing itI bought this dress to wear open like a giant shirt over my cute summer outfits and it is perfect. The material is a little rough but I washed it once in hot water with 1/2 a cup of sea salt and 1/2 cup of white vinegar and it softened immensely. It is a little tight in the armpit, but I am also a 6ft 230 lb man, so i imagine it would be perfect on a woman with more slender arm. Button construction was solid.i love a shirt dress. this one is well made, style and size just do not work with my body type so had to return it. too small in hips for me and a larger size would be too large in the bust and shoulders. fabric is rustic, scratchy even, may soften up a bit in the wash but likely would not ever be really soft because of the weave. This shirt waist dress is long and a nice silhouette. The fabric laundered well without much shrinkage. Overall a great value dress.Largos hasta el tobillo casi. Frescos
